The article gives one of the possible definitions of the concept of “educational environment”
and describes the Educational environment for reading Russian fiction, created by a team of
specialists from the Pushkin Institute on the portal “Education in Russian”. The objectives of
the project are to teach reading as understanding, or semantic perception of fiction texts and/or improve the skills necessary for qualifi ed reading activity. The
core of the Educational Reading Environment is the interactive
author's course “Reading Lessons - a holiday that is always with
you”, which includes more than 50 reading lessons based on
literary texts of Russian writers of the 18th – 21st centuries from
Mikhail Lomonosov to Sergei Lukyanenko in two versions “For
Readers” and “For Teachers”, as well as additional online and
offline resources for them: lessons “Learn by heart” and «Read
by yourself ”, supplements in PDF format, audio and video texts.
The article also presents promising directions for the development
of the educational environment for reading Russian fiction. One
of these areas is the development of reading lessons for children
with dyslexia. At present, three speech therapy versions of reading
lessons have already been posted on the interactive course website,
which differ in a diff erent presentation of the educational material
on the screen, as well as in the presence of additional preparatory
materials for pre-text work. Both are explained by the needs of
children with special needs of speech development. By the end
of this year, a signifi cant increase in the number of versions of
reading lessons addressed to such children is expected. The second
direction of expanding the target audience of the Educational
Environment for Reading is the development of methods and the
creation of resources for the intellectual development of preschool
children who do not know the technique of reading, using the texts
of Russian children's fiction (4+). The article provides screenshots
that allow you to imagine how this work will be organized. In
parallel with these areas, it is planned to work on improving the
methodology for teaching the semantic perception of literary texts,
optimizing the structure of the interactive course and enriching
its meaningful content, creating new reading lessons, and much
more.
